How to play

   The game supports 2–12 players. The featured player rotates: in a two-player game each person is featured three times, with 3–5 players each is featured twice, and with 6–12 each is featured once.

   Everyone sees a safe personal prompt. Before saving the truth, the featured player may replace the prompt once; the replacement restarts the 70-second writing phase.

   During those 70 seconds, the featured player privately writes one honest answer while everyone else submits one believable invention. Entries are limited to 100 characters; do not expose another person’s secrets or sensitive data, and do not write insults, links, contact details, or long numbers.

   Until voting begins, each player sees only their own entry and the shared ready count. Anyone joining after the game starts remains a spectator and receives none of the current game’s personal answers.

   When everyone has answered or time expires, the app shuffles the truth, distinct inventions, and neutral editorial decoys. There are always at least four distinct options, with authors hidden until the reveal.

   Secret voting lasts 35 seconds. The featured player does not vote; everyone else picks the truth and cannot choose their own invention. A missed vote scores 0.

7. 7

   A correct voter earns 200 points. An invention’s author earns 100 points for each player it fools; editorial decoys, missing votes, and a round without the featured player’s answer score 0.

8. 8

   The result remains open for up to 28 seconds; after 8 seconds the host may move on early. The app reveals the truth, authors, votes, and awards. After the last round, the highest total wins; tied leaders share the win.
