How to play

   A game has four rounds. In each one, every player independently searches the same source word for smaller words.

   You have 90 seconds and may submit up to 30 different words. Each entry must be exactly one English-alphabet word of at least three letters.

   Use each letter no more often than it occurs in the source. Uppercase and lowercase count as the same letters, and the full source word itself is not accepted.

   Every round uses one shared dictionary of common nouns in their dictionary form: usually singular, with plural-only nouns also accepted. There is no separate card answer list. Proper nouns, abbreviations, other parts of speech, and words outside the dictionary are rejected without using a slot.

   Before the reveal, only you can see your list. The same word may be accepted from different players, your own repeat is rejected, and “Finish searching” permanently locks your list.

   The round reveals when everyone has selected “Finish searching” or the 90 seconds expire. At reveal, accepted words are compared without regard to letter case.

7. 7

   A word found by at least two players gives each of them 0 points. A unique word scores 100 points for 3 letters, 150 for 4, 250 for 5, 400 for 6, and 600 for 7 or more.

8. 8

   The reveal shows all words, matches, and points. After round four, the highest total wins; players tied for the lead share the win.
