How to play

   Each round appoints one detective. Everyone else helps; with 2–5 players everyone is detective twice, and with 6–12 everyone takes the role once.

   The detective cannot see the secret letter. Every helper sees the same letter only on their own screen.

   Each helper has 40 seconds to enter one real 4–24-letter word in the room language containing the secret letter. Different parts of speech and word forms are allowed; do not use names or abbreviations. Spaces, hyphens, numbers, and emoji are rejected. An accepted word cannot be changed.

   The app automatically checks the word against the shared dictionary for the room language, checks its format and the secret letter, then replaces every occurrence with “?”. A word not found is not accepted: correct it or try another before time runs out. Capitalization does not matter. Do not signal the letter outside the app.

   When everyone has answered or time expires, the detective sees every accepted masked word at once, without author names. A missing helper contributes no clue.

   The detective has 30 seconds and up to three different one-letter guesses. A wrong letter is crossed out while all clue words stay visible.

7. 7

   A correct first, second, or third guess earns the detective 300, 200, or 100 points. Every helper with an accepted clue also earns 100; three misses or a timeout scores zero for everyone.

   The round ends immediately after a correct guess or the third miss. The highest total after the full rotation wins; tied leaders share the win.
