How to play
The performer rotates around the group. With two players, each performs three times; with 3–5, each performs twice; with 6–12, each performs once.
At the start of a round, the app selects one of 72 original English phrases at easy, medium, or hard level. Difficulty describes the text only and never adds points.
The performer sees the phrase privately for 10 seconds of preparation and may start early or pass. Passing ends the round immediately and scores 0.
The reading stage lasts 30 seconds. Once it starts, active listeners can see the phrase; read it once at a comfortable pace and finish early if you wish.
Play in the same place or keep an external audio or video call open. play2gether.fun does not request camera or microphone access and does not record audio or video.
After the performance, everyone else has 25 seconds to rate secretly. Three means every word stayed in its original order; two means exactly one word was omitted, replaced, or moved.
One means two or more differences when the attempt reached the end; zero means the phrase was not started or completed. “Could not hear” and missing ratings are excluded, and the performer never rates themselves.
Ignore repetitions, pauses, self-corrections, pace, voice, accent, dialect, and speech characteristics. Rate only the words and their order.
The performer scores the median valid rating multiplied by 100; with an even count, use the mean of the two middle values. No valid ratings score 0. Results stay open for 15 seconds, and after 5 the host may continue; tied leaders share the win.
