How to play
The game randomly assigns sides and rolls one die for each: the higher roll starts and plays both values. The standard 15-checker setup is used; this single game has no doubling cube.
Each die is a separate checker move in your direction. A point occupied by two or more opposing checkers is blocked; a lone opposing checker is hit to the bar.
If you have checkers on the bar, you must enter them into the opponent's home board before making any other move.
You must use the greatest possible number of dice. If only one of two different dice can be played, the higher one must be used; doubles provide four equal moves.
You may bear off only after all 15 checkers reach your home board. An exact die bears off its point; an oversized die may bear off the farthest checker only when no checker is farther away.
Each turn has a two-minute limit. If it expires, the active player loses the game on time.
Either player may resign at any time; the opponent wins and earns 500 points.
Bearing off first earns 500 points. It is a 1,000-point gammon if the opponent bore off none, or a 1,500-point backgammon if they also have a checker on the bar or in the winner's home board.
