How to play
The game randomly assigns White and Black; White moves first from the standard 8×8 starting position.
Every piece follows classical movement rules. A move may not leave your own king in check; kings are never captured—the game ends at checkmate.
Both castlings are supported when the right remains and the king's path is safe, en passant is available only as the immediate reply, and promotion requires a queen, rook, bishop, or knight choice.
Checkmate wins. Stalemate, insufficient mating material, a third occurrence of one position, or 50 moves by each side without a pawn move or capture ends the game automatically as a draw.
Each turn has a two-minute limit. If it expires, the active player loses the game on time.
Either player may resign at any time; the opponent wins and earns 500 points.
The winner earns 500 points; a draw awards no points.
