How to play

  1. A match has one round per player. A single shuffled circle pairs neighbours, so everyone speaks exactly twice: once for side A and once for side B.

  2. At the start, everyone sees the question, both opposing positions, and the two speakers. Preparation lasts 20 seconds; both speakers may mark themselves ready, but the stage lasts at least 5 seconds.

  3. Speaker A gets up to 50 uninterrupted seconds, followed by 50 seconds for speaker B. The active speaker may finish early after at least 5 seconds.

  4. Play together locally or use an external voice or video call. The opponent and audience do not interrupt; Play Together! does not provide the call or record the conversation.

  5. After both speeches, every participant except the two speakers gets 25 seconds to choose the more convincing side in secret. Speakers and late spectators cannot vote.

  6. Select one side and then confirm the ballot. An accepted vote cannot change; before the reveal, only your own choice and the total readiness count are visible.

  7. Each vote gives the chosen speaker 100 points. A tie keeps both speakers’ earned points with no extra bonus; a missing ballot or a round with no votes gives 0.

  8. The reveal publishes only totals, the winner or tie, and the number of missing ballots—never ballot authorship. It can advance after 4 seconds or continue automatically.

  9. Timers, accepted actions, and scores survive reconnection. After the full circle, the highest total wins; all tied leaders share the victory.
