How to play
Problem Solved! is one shared match for 3–12 players. Everyone passes through five stages: choosing everyday problems, building projects, watching the showcase, allocating funding, and opening the final invention archive together.
During the problem stage, each player has 60 seconds and three distinct original server prompts. They may privately choose one or write a safe everyday problem of 10–180 characters without another person’s private data, links, contact details, or outside brands.
A locked problem cannot be edited. If a player neither chooses nor writes in time, the server locks the first of their three original server prompts; nobody else sees that choice or its author before assignment.
The server deterministically shuffles the players and applies a cyclic derangement: everyone receives exactly one other person’s problem, every problem is used once, nobody receives their own, and the problem author stays anonymous through the match.
The Workshop lasts 150 seconds. A complete project requires a 2–40 character title, a 10–220 character solution description, a 2–70 character tagline, one of eight diagram chassis, and exactly three distinct modules from twelve in the chosen order.
The app draws the diagram itself from the selected chassis and modules, so no image upload or copied artwork is needed. Submission locks the project; if any required field is invalid at the deadline, that project does not enter the showcase.
The Showcase presents projects one at a time in a fixed order. Each receives up to 45 seconds; the host may continue after the first 12 seconds, and an absent author never traps the match on one presentation.
During Funding, every player has exactly five tokens worth 20 points each. All five must be allocated among other completed projects: self-funding is forbidden, and a submitted portfolio cannot be edited. If the only completed project is the player’s own, the app records an automatic pass with no tokens or badge.
When two or more other projects are available, no single project may receive more than three tokens from one investor; when only one is available, it receives all five. Funding lasts 60 seconds, and a missed deadline never invents allocations for a player.
Along with funding, every player who has an eligible project awards exactly one friendly badge to one other project: Practical, Bold, or Delightful. The badge may go to any eligible project and never adds score.
Reveal lasts 30 seconds and the host may continue after 8. It shows token totals, points, and aggregate counts for each badge, but never investor identities, individual portfolios, or the author of the original problem.
A project author scores exactly the backing received: each token is worth 20 points. Badges do not affect score; the largest total wins, and every project tied at the top shares victory with no hidden tie-break.
The server validates the stage, token, and exact shape of every action, so retries cannot create a second project or portfolio. Reconnection restores only a player’s own problem, project, and receipts; late arrivals observe until a new match.
